Vision & Herstory

Founded by former NYC Councilmember for Central Harlem, Kristin Richardson Jordan (aka KRJ), the Kristin for H.A.R.L.E.M. foundation publicly doing business as the Radical Love Foundation advances “radical love” through mutual aid, microgrants, community partnerships, and political education rooted in Black radical traditions of care and collective power.

Our Mission

We are an abolitionist non-profit organization focused on action and resources in the spirit of H.A.R.L.E.M.

Through collaborative events, community conversations, and grants to direct service providers, we aim to connect Harlem community members specifically, and under resourced Black and Brown communities generally, to each other and to resources fostering a sense of service, belonging, and agape love. This mission connects to larger ideals of mutual aid, restructuring society, redistributing wealth and creating a world without jails. This mission statement is a working draft and will continue to be refined as we deepen our relationships and learn from the community/communities we serve.
